I am a stay-at-home mom of three very active children. They keep me pretty busy with all of their activities. My life revolves around being a mom and raising my children alongside my husband Doug; I neglect to take care of my own health. Over the past many years, I have suffered from intense nausea that affected my daily routine. Because of how busy I am, I tried to ignore it and neglected to go to the doctor. Upon ringing in 2012, I made a New Years resolution and, as a promise to my husband, I had some tests done. After a series of procedures and blood work, I was diagnosed with GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). During one of my procedures, they discovered some swelling in my esophagus and did a biopsy.
