Anthony Moreland of Texas (100K) received an Apple MacBook Pro for sharing his LIMU EXPERIENCE in New Orleans. All because he told us how he refused to give up in the face of adversity; he’s now able to help pay his mom’s bills and has a paid-for BMW to boot! Here’s his submission:
I’m 23 years of age and was introduced to LIMU by two good friends of mine: Joshua Michael Goree and Justin Martin. We were all a part of the Louisiana Tech Track and Field program. I remember when first getting the presentation, I was more into just being able to drive a free BMW but then I really thought about the people in my family and friends and their families who were so close to me and suffering from health problems. So then it became more to see what can happen if they start drinking. I prayed and went on my journey.
I first tried to talk with my grandmother who suffered from arthritis in her back; she would wake up 3-4 times a night or not sleep at all. She had started complaining about everything that she loved doing (cooking, cleaning, and messing with her plants). She was also a diabetic, had high blood pressure, and tons of other health problems. With all those health problems, my grandmother didn’t want to hear about LIMU. I didn’t know how to present. I asked my friend and mentor Quarvay Winbush what I did wrong and he told me I worked too hard. I simply asked how and he said to allow my team leaders to work for me and teach me the correct way to present.
I approached my mom in a different way. I just told her I was introduced to something I felt was a great opportunity. She simply replied what is it? I told her I just was introduced and couldn’t explain it as good as my friend. I mentioned he would come and present to her and she said okay. She heard the story and said I will definitely give it a try, that it’s got to be better than all these drugs and surgeries they be trying to give me. Within the first 10 days, she started to see results with her arthritis in her lower legs and sleeping well at night. She also had bad inflammation in her feet from being on her feet all day at work and she noticed how that began to go down and eventually went away! She was so thankful for the opportunity I introduced to her!
I was so excited; I decided I would just pay for my grandmother. I just wanted her to give this a real try! So I gave her a call after I ordered her some and said, “Hey grandmother, I really want you to check this stuff out and listen to my friend.” That’s all I was able to say because she said, “Baby, hold on, I just want you to order some of that juice stuff you got your mama.” I was so shocked by that! I told her I already did! Well she then started drinking the first night; she got a full night’s rest and called me the next morning and told me “If that’s all it did, I will continue to drink it the rest of my life.” Her cholesterol numbers began to go down, blood sugar numbers began to go down and eventually leveled out, and the doctor reduced her insulin for her diabetes for the first time in her life!
Seeing this inspired me to share with everyone but two bad tragedies happened: a good friend/brother of mine passed away the day after Thanksgiving and then my mom’s house burned down on Dec. 19th and lost everything, as she wasn’t able to afford insurance! She had to start from scratch! I only had $10 to my name and I gave her that but I felt bad because that’s my mama, the lady I love dearly and didn’t have much for her! I told myself never again! I prayed and asked God for a way that I can make a change and I really realized he was telling me I blessed you with the opportunity make something out of it!
I took it from there. I started sharing LIMU 2-3 hours a day after a long day (morning track practice, 2-3 classes, evening practice & homework)! Well, in two-and-a-half months, I hit 20K with the great help of my friends Tyler Phillips, Erica Phillips, Big Q, Justin Martin, Josh Goree and Salien Liles! What a blessing! But I didn’t stop there. My friends needed one too! I made a promise to my good friends/big brother Matthew Craig and big sister El Charrita Craig that I wouldn’t pick my BMW up until I helped them qualify and, shoot, 45 days later they qualified too!
LIMU has been a complete blessing for me! I am 23 years old and able to pay my grandparents and mama’s bills! That’s something I always wanted to do! I thank God everyday to meet all these great people and how I have helped so many people out with their health problems and financial problems! So words of encouragement for everyone: never give up on faith and, if you believe, you can do something! You truly can! Just keep God first and push for success!
